Chita Winter Training Update PDF Print E-mail
Greetings to our Chita Coalition,

I write to all of you realizing that you are no doubt preparing for Thanksgiving with family and friends.  So let me express a HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of you.  The surpassing kindness and grace of our Great God and Savior gives those in Christ a much greater reason to be thankful.  May our Lord continue to extend to each of you, to your families, and to your ministries His tender mercies and unending compassion.  We are so blessed!

As each of us gather together tomorrow to enjoy our traditional Thanksgiving supper, just keep Pastor Wayne Wilson in mind and in your prayers.  As we eat, Wayne will be traveling from Southern California to Moscow on Thanksgiving day.  Wayne, we hope the "friendly skies" serve you turkey and the fixins' as you travel, but my flying experience tells me the turkey that Delta or United provides won't be quite like the traditional Thanksgiving meal you are used to.  But in all seriousness we are so thankful that our brother has set aside this Thanksgiving and the next two weeks in order to minister to the men in Chita.

The Winter training session begins on Monday, November 30 and will end on Friday, December 4.  Be praying for Wayne and the men in training as they put Expository Preaching II into practice.  This is Wayne's second trip to Chita so he knows what to expect, but it will be cold out there. Windchill in Chita this week is reaching -20 F.

If Wayne is able to find time (and a computer) he will update us while in Chita.  When I receive updates I will forward that information to all of you.

Happy Thanksgiving,

For the Master,

John

PS... I received the following email from Kyler Welch about a request from our the Chita regional pastor, Andrei Protosov.  As you will see, Andrei desires one of the future teachers to spend an additional amount of time traveling through the Chita Oblast in order to visit and encourage the churches whose pastors and teachers are attending the Chita Bible Training Center.  If this is something you are interested in doing and have the time to do it, please contact me and I can give you more information.

Brother Kyler,

I am in the midst of talking with AI Regional pastors. At the end of our time together Andrei Protosov mentioned that the one lament he has had is that the teachers have not planned extra time that would allow them to visit other parts of Chita. This would have been a great encouragement to the Chita brothers. It would have also afforded the Florida brothers the chance to see first hand how their AI partnership impact beyond the teaching sessions.

Would you be able to gently suggest that the next Florida teacher allow some time to visit other parts of Chita?

Yours by His grace,

Allan
